“Our first objective is to prevent the re-emergence of a new rival, that poses a threat on the order of that posed formerly by the Soviet Union." "The second objective is to address sources of regional conflict and instability in such a way as to promote increasing respect for international law, limit international violence, and encourage the spread of democratic forms of government and open economic systems…" -Pentagon’s Defense Planning Guidance for the fiscal years of 1994 – 1999 Consider the US defense strategies listed above regarding the Middle East. Our involvement in the Middle East is unnecessary, as much as we help the people in the Middle East we do just as much in damage. Which makes me ask why are we really there, not to help but for oil control. To answer your question i think our involvement is somewhat like an abusive relationship, We take and in return we pretend that we care.

U.S. interventions in the Middle East isn’t necessary. To claim that the U.S. is interfering with the Middle East for our protection can be questioned. The idea of keeping terrorists at bay and killing them to prevent another 9/11 has further expanded the American-hate. Terrorists hate us because we are in the Middle East, we are their foreign invaders. If the U.S. wanted real protection from terror attacks, we’d leave them alone.
