The Civil Rights Movement was really successful because the African American men could vote without poll taxes. Also it desegregated schools which meant that black and white where going to be allowed in the same schools because of the 14th amendment.

I don't believe the civil rights movements was very successful. It did change things such as segregation and voting for African American people, but as of today black people and other minorities are being discriminated against.

I beleive the only people that discriminate against another is those who feel they are being discriminated against. I was raised to see a person not the color of their skin. The biggest racist of all is the one who points the finger and screams racist.

The civil rights movement in the 1960's was succesfull because a lot of changes happened, they added the 15th amendment which said African american MEN could vote, they also ended segregation in schools which led to the Little nine rock incident where a state governor would not let 9 black kids join a white school and they sent 1000 army troops to the school to show how powerful the segregation got

The 15th amendment was added during Reconstruction (1865-1877). The issue that came afterwords was the South’s disenfranchisement of African Americans through poll taxes and literacy tests.

I feel that the civil rights movement did make changes in some aspects. Minorities gained more confidence for voting. They also gained more liberty to join the white society. But I also feel that minorities have also went over that confidence given to them and have done things they aren't supposed to do in relation to crime. In general, I think that the civil rights movement did have a positive effect for the minorities even though they still suffer from discrimination from some people.

The Civil Rights Movements was very successful because they achieved for Congress to pass Civil Rights Act inn 1964. More blacks were in white schools, minorities rates were voting more now. No more discrimination in jobs or at any place in U.S. All of the movements the African Americans made they were successful.

The Civil Rights were very successful because now African Americans have the same rights as white people do. Back in the 1950's segregation and discrimination were illegal, but because of all the sit-ins, boycotts, and protest they now are treated equal.

The civil rights movement of 1960's ended segregation in public places that sound pretty successful to me because later on We would have the 13th 14th 15th amendments and the Brown v. Board of Education will end segregation in schools.

The Civil Rights Movement was a successful movement. The reason I say this is because a lot of the minorities ( mainly the African-Americans) were being discriminated across the U.S. and this movement helped push things farther to desegregate schools, bus, parks, and etc.
