Eisenhower helped the economy by lowering taxes, balanced budgets, and Buying on credit which allowed them to enjoy the good things in life even as it kept industry busy and unemployment low.

The !950 truly was the "good old days" because not only was it was the end of the Korean war and the United states economic started to boom.

The Civil Rights Act was added in the 1960s. Minorites were still heavily discriminated against in the 1950s.
